I bought this in the hopes of its melodies relaxing me. Afterall, that's what it says on the 'tin'.
In parts, the CD does indeed relax the mind and produce a pleasant after-feeling. As an album or a collection of tunes however, I really can't recommend it.
In places the tracks seem rather disjointed and jarring. The tracks are seemingly incompatible with each other and there is little flow from one to the next. Listening to individual tracks then is the only real way to gain any enjoyment from the CD because listening to each track, one after the other, as each tune changes tempo, beat and style is more likely to infuriate and stress the listener instead of calming or relaxing him/her.
Instead, I heartily recommend the sister CD to this, Body and Soul: Calm.

it is not even good to fall asleep with. Got on my nerves and never listen to it since. There are alot better albums of prominent composers...

While this is obviously tailored towards a stress filled society and is to be recommended for that, I personally enjoy the relaxing music `panpipes mellow moods' which I found by accident on amazon.co.uk The cd I possess from this site have a variety of stunning sounds tailored towards the relaxation market which I can recommend anyone who is searching into this particular genre. This cd is highly recommended and great to sleep or meditate too. If you go to their product description you will see their website they have samples for you to listen too as well. You can't go wrong!

This CD is very relaxing. The songs go deep to your soul, and sound so familiar for some reason. Anyway they're fantastic and I'm listening to them right now, not for the first time. Just thought I'd add another five star review to the bunch because this CD deserves it.

I bought this cd for my 11 year old daughter who was finding it hard to go to sleep. She recieved this and the calming cd in the post about 3 weeks ago and played them that night she fell asleep with no trouble and she has played them every night since! Another bonus of these cds is that they are such good value too. I would recommend these to anyone.
