Shower Music December 19, 2007 P. Roberts (Stockholm, Sweden) 7 out of 12 found this review helpful
Reading Buble reviews are a paradox in that die hard fans rave about him (and get `useful review' votes from other die hard fans) while other more critical reviews get slammed. How about an attempt at objectivity? Buble is a wonderful vocalist, but there honestly is no musical originality here. If you are seeking music for a dash of innovation or emotion - or anything I can think of really - Buble really cannot deliver it. It is the culinary equivalent of an excellent drink of water - perfect every way, but without any describable qualities. I last heard this playing in an airport lounge - and that really says it all. This is perfectly acceptable background music which you will probably hear in US convention centers or in Blackpool at a middle aged party event. If this is you, 5 stars.
Lisp ... October 19, 2007 Jan Van Cotthem (Belgium) 2 out of 7 found this review helpful
Like another reviewer wrote : Michaels voice has a very prenounced lisp to many of the tracks and none so more than when he sings the track "I have the world on a string" which makes him sound like Mr Fudd from the Buggs Bunny cartoons, string becomes stwing and rainbow is wainbow so I guess you take my point! ... I completely agree ... the bad thing is once you've heard it ... it kind of sticks with ya, and you start hearing it on alot of the songs. I was a great fan of MB ... had all his CD's but this one ... hasn't done him any good. I wonder how it is you don't hear it so much or not at all on the other CD's ... was it edited out or was the material more suited ?
dikela - Irresponsible Indeed September 17, 2007 M. Solomon (South Africa) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought this CD in reluctance. MB's previous work did not impress me. I thought he was just busking with a good voice. This is easily the best release of 2007 (in South Africa at least) and I am impressed with the production quality. David Foster has outdone himself this time around. MB digs deeper than I have ever heard him or any of the artists around dig. Track 11 has never sounded this good. The only thing MB is Irresponsible about is our money ... I have already booked myself his December live performance in Cape Town :-) I am addicted to his voice. Keep it up!

i received this cd as a gift .well having never bought one of his ablums before i was ready to chuck it. but i gave it a chance and i cant get enough of it! its perfect for easy sunday listening, to listening to it on my ipod on the bus! his voice is so smooth and the tunes catchy, i have to resist snapping my fingers or swawing my head in public... .. dont listen to the bad reviews. every single one of the songs on this album is a hit.
Truly fabulous! July 10, 2007 Mrs. H. E. Jones (England) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
If you like Michael Buble's melodious voice and swing band music, you're in luck! This album is absolutely fabulous and very listenable; I'd say this is Michael at his best with some truly memorable songs being given the inimitable Buble treatment. If you like good, easy listening music by the next best thing to Sinatra - this is the album for you. Enjoy!
