This still is one of my all time favourites of his work, though as we know, each and every album is too distinct to compare. It's a continuation of his style from his previous album 'Far Away Trains Passing By" but with an added twist - the fine introduction of Judith Beck, the enchanting and breathtaking vocal addition.
In life, there are certain albums we have carried with us, where ever we go, whether through new life experiences or whilst reconciling old ones, this music co-creates with one's own memories. Isn't that what music does? This album is one of those classics.
My favourite song "On My Own" is an addictive tune that is completely different from the rest of the album, but throws me back to the days of Joy Division...and then one is carried into the following tracks on the album with scintillating melody. Highly Recommended!

I randomly discovered this album yesterday, and it has been playing on loop ever since. This is without question the most beautiful electronic album I've ever heard, and regardless of whether you like electronica or not, everyone should own a copy, especially as it fuses so many different styles.

Came across 'Monday - Paracetamol' on Pandora.com and was immediately blown away. Went in search of this album and was utterly amazed by it. This is proof that electronic music can be artistic and emotive, rather than just bleeps and beeps put together on a computer.
Each track flows from beginning to end and doesn't get caught up in the endlessly repetitive rut that some electronic music finds itself in. Schnauss' compositions are incredibly rich without sounding overly busy or cluttered. At no point do you feel overwhelmed by layer upon layer of sound, which is another trapping of the electronic scene.
This is everything electronic music should be. Other producers take note!

If you like and remember The Cocteau Twins' more atmospheric outings, Brian Eno's sublime "Apollo" (and Roger Eno's "Voices") and albums by Dead Can Dance and This Mortal Coil, you'll have a small inkling of the musical treasures on this CD...
The music here is highly addictive and somehow hypnotic despite the real movement and variety in the tracks, the deceptively simple soundscapes rolling around one's head for hours afterwards. Please believe me, the sound samples presented above (?) don't even begin to do the music justice! You've just got to buy this disc, kick back and let the music wash into you; a very enjoyable experience indeed that can evoke memories and emotions depending on circumstance.........
The production could have been a bit better though. Lots of compression (and subsequent distortion) in parts of the mix spoil headphone listening, although the sublime music, pitch bending and all..... wins through every time...
I give this CD a heartfelt recommendation. It's far more than *just* chillout music, since it really does grow on you. I'm really glad I bought it; so much so I ordered the previous album, which has a similar effect......
P.S. April '07 - Some months have passed since I first bought these discs and I wanted to add that they don't ever stray very far from my CD player... They take repeated listening very well indeed!
