...close but no coconut... December 28, 2008 Mr. H (Embra) I remember being utterly blown away by Anastacia when she first appeared on the scene. A stunning voice, looks to match and some fantastic songs. I stuck with her through the moody rock phase, and then post greatest hits ("Pieces Of A Dream"), she vanished. So when word of a comeback emerged, I was fair excited to hear the results. But it's a bit of a mixed bag. First single 'I Can Feel You' was good enough, in an eighties Taylor Dayne kind of way. Again, I liked Taylor Dayne, but that was 20 years ago. However, there are some very good tunes here - 'The Way I See It' and forthcoming single 'Absolutely Positively' are just delightful, harking back to her glory days. But then the first Guy Chambers co-write arrives, and things start to go pear-shaped. There's four of his songs here, and I can't really think of anything good to say about any of them. The phrase Emperors New Clothes seems highly appropriate for what he brings to the table. The title track has an excellent Rodney "Darkchild" Jenkins production and 'You'll Be Fine' stands heads above the other ballads. There are some excellent vocal arrangements, with a few credits for the fantastic Siedah Garrett, something that is always a good thing. There's 60% of a good album here, so here's hoping it's enough to keep the new record company happy, something the initial sales figures indicate is unlikely.
Great new album December 26, 2008 M. Harlock (England) I have loved all her previous albums and it feels like a long time waiting fot this new album...it was definately worth the wait i instantly like the songs on it, catchy and oringial. It's a great buy
fantastic November 26, 2008 IknowwhatIlike (UK) This album is brilliant! i have always liked Anastacia and have the other albums she has done, but never really considered myself a true fan! However this is an exceptional album and lots of personal meaning in her lyrics and shows a slightly softer side to her voice at times! Check out tracks 4 6 and 10 as major standouts. Just love this!

Well this album is a bit of a let down starting with that i can feel you is the only good track on the album the rest are okay overall it's a 5/10. Heavy Rotaion Got To #17 In The UK Albums Chart. I Can Feel You Got To #67 In The UK Singles Chart.
Anastacia's new album is deffiently rotation in my cd player!! October 30, 2008 Cody (uk) 3 out of 6 found this review helpful
Heavy Rotation is miles different from herself titled rocky album. This album is way more mainstream and slightly reverts back to her early stuff. Yes loads of people will dismiss this album as a money grabber full of half hearted song but i personally feel Anastacia's vibe in all these songs and its a natual progression for her and her amazing voice. The songs may need listening to more than once which im sure some of the other reviewers who slammed the album haven't done, cause this collection of songs will get stuck in you head. Stand out songs are defiantly `Defeated, the way i see it, never gonna love again', and of cause her infectious single `i can feel you'. If your an Anastacia fan i recommend, if you want to rock out listen to her `Anastacia' album, which is also amazing, but if your in a going out getting ready or chilled mood we now have `Heavy Rotation'!
