Worth a chance purchase July 6, 2001

Hinda Hicks is a much overlooked artist. Her biggest hit "You think you own me" was what turned me on to her and I was very glad I took a chance and bought her album. The album has funk and soul pouring out of every hole resulting in a big puddle of funky-soul goo on the floor that todays R&B artists would do well not to slip on. R&B is big money now, and I think Hinda was just unfortunate to be in the right place at the wrong time. If ever there was someone who deserved the "before her time" tag it would be our lady. She would fit in perfectly with todays groups like the Honeyz, Destiny's Child and maybe Chante Moore.
